Kholle House is our absolute Stone Town favorite. Small and personal filled with quirky details and antiquities. Breakfast in the lush courtyard under the langi langi tree and a refreshing morning swim in the pool- how about that?

Day 2: Chuini
To avoid the erratic traffic in Zanzibar city, you embark the local bus. After a 20 min you arrive to the spice farm area. Then some easy and beautiful cycling ( 3 km) to get to our favorite and pioneering Spice Farm run by Abeids Family. There you will be able to see, smell and taste all the fruit and spices in seasons as you walk around the grounds to discover. Some of them are ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom, lemon grass, black/green pepper, mangos, bananas, cloves and lots of other spices you have only seen dry on the shelf before. While you are doing the tour the women will prepare a tasty lunch with spices, fruit and vegetables from their farm.
With filled belly you move on, mostly downhill and flat luckily, another 6 km before arriving to Chuini. You arrive early enough to have time to enjoy the peaceful family owned Mangrove Lodge, its lush garden, pool and the mangroves.
Mangrove Lodge is an Eco-lodge surrounded by a tropical garden. As it is on the West coast you have chance to witness a colourful Indian Ocean sunset.

Day 3: Nungwi
This day you will probably fill in your legs as it is 53 km to Nungwi. But it can be cured with a fruit smoothie upon arrival- or even a swim. And then there is always the local buses to catch along the route should you so wish.
After some hours cycling and exploring you will come to Mkokotoni, a small untouched fishing village. It’s close to the island Tumbatu so the boats over runs from here. Quite spectacular if you manage to see one. Nungwi is the most tourist developed beach on Zanzibar. Many places to visit, many roof top sunsets to see. Or you just stay at Flame Tree Cottages and enjoy the tranquillity. Your choice!
Flame Tree Cottages is a quite vast plot with few enough cottages to offer privacy. You will have your own veranda where breakfast is served and the swimming can take place in the ocean just outside or the refreshing pool. Should you want some party it is a mere 10 min walk away.

Day 4: Matemwe
Going South today- 21 km. A bit inland and then out to the North East coast to go snorkelling by the world famous Mnemba atoll. Unbelievably clear blue water. The reefs surrounding the island have colourful coral and fish. Sometimes the dolphins are arounds so fingers crossed.
