New Teddy´s on the beach, Jambiani
New Teddy´s on the beach is not in our usual program but we recommend it for solo travellers and young travellers. It is very much a meeting place for long term travellers and back packers. This much because of its super friendly, laid back atmosphere.
It is set on one of the best stretches of Jambiani beach where it is possible to wander out at low tide and swim in the “river” that is created between the sandbanks at low tide. While the bungalows are quite straight forward the friendly easy going atmosphere makes this budget alternative the right choice for a lazy barefoot holiday.
When in the pool, under the palms, you overlook the Indian Ocean and if you want to see how life is lived on Zanzibar you have the village just at your back. The kitchen at New Teddys on the beach is good and reasonably priced with a bunch of choices if you prefer vegetarian food. If you want restaurants options there are several just a walk on the beach.
